Welcome to Café Venice, located on the Island of Venice in the Historical Downtown District, at 116 West Venice Avenue. Café Venice — Voted Venice’s “Best Café” six years in a row and counting! People often ask what type of restaurant we are and who we cater to, and our answer is simple.
We are a small, intimate bistro-style restaurant, featuring an exquisite menu with a Continental to Polynesian flaire-paired with a fine wine selection. Enjoy the dining experience of white linen table cloths inside, as well as our Florida Casual environment and take pleasure in the best service in town.
The Crow’s Nest Marina Restaurant was founded in October of 1976 by Steve Harner, Janis Payne-Harner, Harp Harner & Larry LaRocca. Larry moved on in 1986 and Harp Harner passed away in November 2005, but Steve still owns and operates the restaurant and marina.
The original Crow’s Nest seated 45 people on the second floor of the Tarpon Center Marina. The property immediately east of the Crow’s Nest was the prior location of the Venice Yacht Club and the Happyland Seafood Restaurant. At the South Jetty, just west of us, Johnny Walkers Fish Camp operated until 1973.
